4 July 2010 RETIREMENT FOR SCHOOL'S DRIVING FORCE Retirement for school’s driving force

The School Association of Boronia Park Public invites past and present students and families of the school to afternoon tea tomorrow at 4pm to mark Principal Marilyn Torr’s (pictured) retirement.
Miss Torr has been Principal for 15 years, and according to School Association President Kate Murphy, she was “a strong advocate for public education and worked hard to demonstrate its value”.
“She has also overseen the development of a strong school community - co-operative and highly engaged,” Ms Murphy said.
“Miss Torr has been the driving force behind the “spirit of Boronia” that makes our school such a great place to be associated with. Over the years she has had a huge influence on many people.” Photo courtesy of Brett Odgers
