HUNTERS HILL HERITAGE FESTIVAL
'INNOVATION & INVENTION' 14 - 29 April 2012
Hunters Hill is situated on a peninsula in Sydney Harbour, surrounded on three sides by the Lane Cove and Parramatta Rivers. Recognised as one of the nation's most significant heritage areas, Hunters Hill has its own stories to tell about Innovations and Inventions that helped shape a nation.
Special events have been organized for this year's Heritage Festival, including river cruises, walks, a bike ride, musical entertainment, exhibitions and inspections of museums and historic buildings.
The association Discover Hunters Hill is helping to coordinate activities in Hunters Hill as part of the National Trust's Heritage Festival - 'Innovation & Invention'.

1pm - 3pm SPASM MUSEUM The Society for Preservation of the Artefacts of Surgery & Medicine. The museum consists of heritage items and memorabilia from both the hospital and non-hospital sectors of nursing and medicine, housed in heritage buildings in the grounds of the old Gladesville Hospital, Victoria Rd, Gladesville. 10am - 12:30pm 'THE FRENCH VILLAGE WALK' led by local guides features the Town Hall precinct. 2pm - 5pm EXPLORING THE LANE COVE RIVER CRUISE All aboard Sydney Heritage Fleet's historic vessel 'Protex' (c1908) for a leisurely cruise up the Lane Cove River and into the National Park.
