Travels with my Aunt Opening Night

Making Magic: Opening Night at the Town Hall!

“Travels with my Aunt” opening this Friday 24th March at our beautiful heritage listed Town Hall, is shaping up to be as surprising, scintillating and amusing as the writer of the original novel, Graham Greene would have intended.

Jennie Bazell was selected as the director of the first play of Hunters Hill Theatre 2017 season, before the agreement to move to its new home at the Town Hall, an immense and exciting achievement both for the Theatre and the Council, in staging the first live theatre production.

Bazell says “Travels with my Aunt” is not unlike the journey to many performances “homes” that Hunters Hill Theatre has taken… with multiple locations, from London to Istanbul, from Buenos Aires to Paraguay, with multiple dubious colourful and potentially dangerous characters en route, is a heady mix for a small cast of five fearless actors. Supported (as always) by an extraordinary production team, including lighting, sound and set design to bring the magic to life.

The much loved play is always a popular choice, yet Bazell describes this production as different in challenging the audience to imagine that anything may happen in the world it creates.

Bookings are now open on  or
