Hunters Hill Quilt Show
11 August, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 14 August, 2016 @ 4:30 pm
The Hunters Hill Quilters, officially opened their show yesterday… Now open to the public from today until this weekend, Sunday August 14.
Everyone is invited to browse, admire and critique the exhibited unique quilts made by members of the group. Also on display at the show will be a new exhibition for 2016, showcasing baby quilts that have been made and will be donated to the Grace Centre for Newborn Care at Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Throughout the show, visitors can enjoy the quilt displays, buy original quilts, add to their sewing needs from the local quilt shop and enjoy tea, coffee and local, homemade goodies.
As part of their ongoing effort to give back to the wider community, the Hunters Hill Quilters will be donating proceeds from the 2016 Quilt Show to the research work of Dr Elizabeth Scott.
Dr Scott, consultant psychiatrist at the Brain & Mind Research Institute, is a leading authority in youth mental health.
The quilt show raffle provides an opportunity to win a choice of two quilts, both very different designs.
“Circles of the Past” is a very traditional quilt and “Liquorice Allsorts” is a bright contemporary design.
Entry fee $6, 10am to 4.30pm.
