Inclusion Award in The Northern Business Awards
June 12 - July 3
NEW AWARD TO CELEBRATE INCLUSIVE BUSINESSES
Improved inclusion and access enrich our community and can make a big difference to your bottom line!
To recognize and support this, City of Ryde, Hunter’s Hill Council and Lane Cove Council have come together to introduce an award at the upcoming Northern Districts Local Business Awards that will recognize business achievements in embracing inclusion.
How can I nominate a business for this award?
It is one quick and easy form to fill out and this will mean positive community recognition for the nominees! Customers, staff or business owners can nominate with a local ‘inclusion’ good news business story.
To nominate a business fill out the attached; or download a form at www.ryde.rocks/inclusionaward and return it to [email protected]
Nominations are open from June 11-July3 and the winner will be announced at the August 29 Northern Business Awards Dinner.
Inclusion essentially means working to make everybody welcome, and we are calling for award nominations from businesses and customers alike, for businesses and staff who are going above and beyond to make everyone in our diverse community welcome.
40% of adults identify as having some form of disability or long term health condition. And every person with a disability is a potential customer. People with a disability can be loyal customers to establishments that cater for their needs, which can mean more sales for your business. Improving the accessibility of local businesses benefits everyone, especially people with a disability, parents with prams, people with English as a second language and older residents.
